Course Reading Lists: Home

This guide is designed to help you understand and navigate your course reading lists.

Welcome to the Course Reading Lists guide

The Library and Information Service welcomes you to Course Reading Lists and encourages SU facilitators of courses to take advantage of and implement this online tool that supports the creation and management of course reading / resourse lists in Moodle.

Benefits for facilitators of courses

  • Save time managing diverse course resources in a single reading list within Moodle.
  • Students understand your expectations when you tag items as essential or recommended or add notes.
  • Understand how students engage with course materials by accessing the comprehensive usage analytics.
  • Take advantage of integrated library support by sending lists to the Library for review.
  • Course Reading Lists help improve teaching and learning effectiveness and promote student success.

Benefits for students

  • Students access their reading lists in a structured and standardised format from within their course in Moodle.
  • Students can interact with their lists, marking citations as read and liking those citations which they enjoy. They can view upcoming due dates, partake in student discussions and report broken links to the Library.
