EndNote: Adding SU Library Search to EndNote

EndNote is widely regarded as one of the world's best reference managers. It helps you save time, stay organised, collaborate with colleagues and to get published.

Adding Library Search to EndNote

Please note that Online Search is only available via the Eduroam network on SU campuses. The following databases can be used:

  1. PubMed
  2. SU Library Catalogue (see below)
  3. Web of Science
  4. WorldCat (the Connection File is available below)

In order to search the SU Library Catalogue (or other available connection files) in EndNote, you first need to take the following steps:

First, download the following file:

Once you have downloaded it, click on the file. It will automatically open the following window:

Now click on File and then Save As. Remove the word "Copy" before saving the file:

Once you have saved it. Again go to Tools and then Connection Files and select Open Connection Manager Scroll down to where Stellenbosch University Library Search is listed and make sure that the checkbox is ticked:

Once you have done that, you will see Stellenbosch University Library Search under Online Search:

Now you can search the Library's catalogue within EndNote.
