Makerspace: Soldering Station

Provide a collaborative technologically focused environment for SU students and staff to invent, create and learn while sharing.

What is a Soldering Station?

Soldering is used to glue together electronics on a printed circuit board. The iron is heated up to the temperature where it can melt the solder. The heat gun is used for the surface mount components.

Only solder in a well-ventilated with a fume extractor.

Always wear eye protection when using a soldering station.

Treat the soldering station with care as the solder wire can become extremely hot.
