Writing support for your research: Reading scholarly works

This guide is intended to help AgriScience students with academic writing

Working with scholarly information

Scholarly information is not as simple as reading Harry Potter - unfortunately it is filled with technical terms, academic jargon and can be rather frustrating and time-consuming to read. Reading scholarly works can sometimes take up to an hour to read a 7 page paper, simply due to how technical it is.

Writing can be equally challenging while you try to walk the fine line between good paraphrasing, plagiarism and good writing.
