SAWIS’ purpose is to assist the wine industry by turning data into information that helps turn challenges into opportunities. Our main functions are:
• Collection, processing and dissemination of industry information.
• Administration of the industry's Wine of Origin system.
SASEV (South African Society For Enology & Viticulture) serves as a forum for presenting the latest technical and scientific information to all South African wine and grape producers to improve the quality of South African table grapes, raisin grapes, wines and related products.
Vinpro is a non-profit company which represents 2 500 South African wine producers, cellars and industry stakeholders. The organisation liaises closely with Government and industry role players on issues that have an impact on the profitability and sustainability of its members and the industry as a whole. It keeps its members and the broader industry informed of industry trends and technical expertise and renders specialised services ranging from soil science to viticulture, agricultural economics and transformation and development.

The Australian Wine Research Institute (AWRI) is the Australian grape and wine industry’s own research organisation. It supports a sustainable and successful grape and wine industry through world class research, practical solutions and knowledge transfer. Established in 1955, the AWRI is governed by an industry-led, skills-based Board and is a member of the Wine Innovation Cluster located at the Waite Research Precinct in Adelaide. The AWRI’s activities are guided by its mission and values, an industry-endorsed research, development and extension plan and an internal business plan.
The OIV is an intergovernmental organisation of a scientific and technical nature of recognised competence for its works concerning vines, wine, wine-based beverages, table grapes, raisins and other vine-based products.
