Arduino Starter Kit

Arduino Starter Kit is available for use in the Makerspace:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Starter Kit walks you through the basics of using the Arduino in a hands-on way. You'll learn through building several creative projects. The kit includes a selection of the most common and useful electronic components with a book of 15 projects. Starting the basics of electronics, to more complex projects, the kit will help you control the physical world with sensor and actuators.

Projects you can make: Spaceship Interface, Love-O-Meter, Colour Mixing Lamp, Mood Cue, Light Theremin, Keyboard Instrument and lots more.

Arduino Sandbox Training Kit

Arduino Sandbox Training Kit is available for use in the Makerspace:

The Digital Sandbox (DS) is a learning platform that engages both the software and hardware worlds. It’s powered by a microcontroller that can interact with real-world inputs – like light or temperature sensors – while simultaneously controlling LEDs, motors, and other outputs. The Digital Sandbox is equipped with everything, on board, you will need to complete 13 experiments, including controlling an LED, measuring how loud things are, detecting what the temperature is, and more.

The Digital Sandbox Guide (included) contains step-by-step instructions on how to connect each circuit with the included parts. Also refer to the Digital SandBox Experiment Guide, ArduBlock and Digital Sandbox Arduino Companion.

RGB LED HAT for Raspberry Pi

RGB LED HAT for use in the Makerspace:

RGB LED HAT can be easily attached on top of the Raspberry Pi to display colorful effect, and controlled by only one signal pin.

Features:

  • Supports any revision of Raspberry Pi (directly-pluggable)
  • Onboard 4 × 8 RGB LED (WS2812B)
  • Control pin is configurable via jumpers (0Ω resistor)
  • Break out control pins, easy for working with other MCUs
  • Comes with development resources and manual (examples in Python and Web control)

PWM Signal Generator and Screen

PWM Signal Generator + Screen is available for use in the Makerspace:

The PWM Signal Generator + Screen is capable of generating square wave signal for experimental development that involves PWM dimming and speed controlling (e.g. motor drivers) as well as other micro controller use. It can be controlled via the Serial Protocol TTL (TXD & RXD pins). It is stable and reliable, and fairly simple to use.
